Have you ever thought about your movement nutrition? Until I heard of this genius analogy from Katy Bowman, neither had I.
We all know that kale is healthy, but a diet of ONLY kale is not healthy.
We need variety. We need lots of different nutrients beyond what we get just from kale.
Well, guess what? The same concept applies to our movement.
If we are a runner, or a yogi, or a crossfitter, etc. and all we ever do is that same activity, we are not maintaining a nutritious movement diet.
We need variety. Variety comes in many forms. Here are some examples:
✨ Varied gross movements such as walking or running
✨ Varied subtle movements such as joint isolations
✨ Varied intensity and heart rate variability
✨ Varied load
✨ Varied types of stretching
There are so many variables we can play with within our movement practice and we need a bit of it all. That's where The Yoga Feast comes in.
